The subconscious mind is part of the brain that stores information such as memories, beliefs and previous experiences. The above information is, however, not available and can never be found in the conscious mind.
Activating the subconscious mind is the process of feeding it with the programs that exist in our conscious mind, but we now aim at making them permanent.
For example, you could have a positive thought in your conscious mind but your subconscious does not have the program and mind you the subconscious is bigger and powerful than the conscious mind.
In simple terms is that the subconscious mind occupies about 95% and the conscious mind occupies 5%. So when something good springs up in your conscious mind, unless the subconscious has the program to support it then it will remain just a thought.

Affirmations are more of a wake-up call, they remind you each and every day of what you aim to achieve and that you must put in the effort to achieve it.

When you eat food that you have never eaten before, or travel to a place that you have never been to before, or just take a different route from the one that you are used to, the neurons in your brain start to connect in a new way. Your subconscious, therefore, becomes more flexible and receptive to doing different and new things.

Listen to your mind

At times you might have something bothering your mind for a while, for example, there is this book that you have been wanting to read, so your mind is thirsting for it and your subconscious keeps telling you to read that book, read that book.
What do you do? Maybe you don’t have a lot of free time or you keep procrastinating, which is actually very wrong because the more you postpone the more your mind gets distracted and is unable to focus on important matters.
So the best that you can do for yourself is to get that book and read it or take a break to let your brain repair itself, just get the distractions out of the way and activate your subconscious.
Having positive thoughts is not a bad thing but you also have to be keen to program your subconscious mind to be in synchronization with the conscious mind so that you can achieve your life desires.
